1 year and Family Pics

Well we had Nora's 1 year pics done, a little late I know, but better late than never right?! We went to Portrait Innovations again, but I was a little disappointed with them. They were running a 1/2 hour behind and we missed out on Nora being her great self. The photographer we had was just okay too. This is the first time that I have not been that satisfied with them. We had some family pics done as well and they did not turn out that great. He kept putting us in the same pose and it was not a good one. We did get a few great pics, but usually we get more than just a few and this time they only took 60 and normally it is more like 100. Overall it was fine. So here are the good ones.
Peter was trying to get her to laugh in this one and he caught her doing her piggy face!

Not a bad family shot, but Nora is not smiling.

This is the one that we got the most pics of. She does look pretty cute if I do say so myself!

This is the other family one we got. Her shirt was too big so it kept getting all bunched up and Peter's shirt wasn't laying right. At least she was smiling in this one.

Nora's Vacation

So Nora took her first trip to Chicago alone the week of July 13th. I had my wisdom teeth out that week so she went to stay with Grandma and Grandpa for that week and had a wonderful time. These are some pics from her trip. At the beginning of the week she went to Lincoln Park Zoo. Aunt Candace, Grandma and Meghan took her there. They said one of her favorite things there was to watch the polar bears dive into the water.

As you can tell she had a very busy day that day and fell asleep as Aunt Candace was taking her back to the car.
They also went to Lou's for pizza while Nora was there. She definately liked it they said. Of course Nora likes food, she is my daughter!!

Towards the end of the week they took Nora to the beach. Even though it was a little chilly she still loved it. I tell you what that girl will get in the water no matter what the temp. is! Grandma and Aunt Candace bought her some beach toys to play with and she sat there and played for a long time. She wanted to sit right where the water would come up and get her as it came in, so Aunt Candace had the joy of sitting in the water with her.

We don't have any pics of Grandpa, but he will get the credit for teaching Nora a new trick. While she was there he taught her how to spin around. She is so funny doing it too. She will go and go and go until she gets dizzy and falls down. She had a great time visiting with everyone.

VA Mernah's Visit

Every summer my family from Virginia makes the trip to St. Louis to spend some time with us. They were here this past week and we had a great time. We sit around the kitchen table and talk, play games and eat. We do enjoy the pool, but this year the weather just did not want to cooperate. We were not able to get into the pool until the day before they left.

Michelle and Nora in the pool. The water was a tad bit chilly!

One evening we went to Mom's Deli for dinner and then headed to the park for a bit before we went to Ted Drewes! Here is Katie and Michelle being silly on a bouncy thing at the park!

We headed downtown on Monday to see all the All-Star stuff that was going on. Right across from the Stadium they had a sponsor village set up and Katie, Jalen and I played Rock Band.

Here is everyone under one of the arches that were set up around downtown. This one was in Keiner Plaza. We got to see 5 of them. We had a great time taking pictures and looking at everything.

This was the arch in front of City Hall.
We had a great time visiting and of course it was always not long enough! Can't wait until next year!~

Fun in the Pool

So here we are at a friend play date at my mom's pool. We brought the baby pool over since it was not hot, hot outside and the big pool was a little cool.

Natalie did not care for either pool too much because it was not warm enough, but she still had a great time playing. She has such a great laugh and smile.

Here is Julia enjoying the hose. We turned the hose on to fill up the baby pool a little more, but they had more fun playing with it and the pool didn't get much water put back into it.

The girls all standing outside of the pool. If it were a little warmer that day there is no doubt in my mind that they would have all been in the pool. We still had a lot of fun though. We, moms, spend most of the day laughing at our girls and the silly things they do.

Speaking of silly things they do, Nora figured out how to get in and out of the pool. She wasn't to graceful doing it, but proud of herself for figuring it out!

Two little fish, Julia and Nora

Happy 4th of July

Every year the Bromeier side of the family gets together to celebrate the 4th of July. This is a long standing tradition because it was my Great-Great-Grandmothers birthday. We always have such a great time. We BBQ, have a washers tournament, and swim. This year it was uncharacteristcally cool, so not too much swimming was done, but we still had a great time.

This is a pic of the Bromeier Crew, 4 generations.

Here Peter is playing in the annual washers tournament. For those of you not from St. Louis who are asking what is washers it is kind of like bags, but you have a square box with a bucket in the middle that you try to get a washer in! Peter and Susie made it to the finals, but did not win.

This is Nataleigh Malin. This is my cousins daughter. She is just a cutie with those big blue eyes. This year we had 12 kiddos under the age of 13.

Here is Grandma with her grandkids bofore everyone got there! I just love this picture.

Too Cute

So I just had to post these pics because I think they are so darned cute!! This was on my birthday and we spent the afternoon in the pool. Nora has on a different suit than in other pictures, yes she has three swimming suits that we rotate between. She was in such a good mood and was having so much fun drinking out of her cup as I was taking these pics. We have had a very photographic summer with all the pics I have been taking with my camera. We don't leave the house with out it!

Nora and her tongue sticking out!
More to drink!
Too Cute!

Suson Park

So Nora and I get together with friends once a week and play. My friends Nicole and Stephanie also have 1 year old daughters, Julia and Natalie. This particular day we went to Suson Park to see some animals and play on the playground.

I had a great idea about how cute it would be if we could get all the girls to get on the slide for a picture. Yeah right, we could not get them to all look at me at the same time! So here they are on the slide.

Nora had never been on a slide before this day, and she did not want to stop going down the slide. Here we are going down the slide together.

Nora started walking right around 13 months. This was a couple of weeks after that. She just takes off and goes now. Here she is walking with Aunt Boo. She thinks she can run though and does fall a lot. Her poor little legs are getting scraped up, but she still continues to go.

Here are all the girls lined up on the fence looking at the pigs. The were so funny watching the animals. Nora makes a pig face and kept looking back and making it at us. We had a great day at Suson!

June 09

Wow, I haven't posted in a really long time, but here are a few pictures from June that I liked.

We got a pass to Grant's Farm this year and have used it quite a bit. We went one day with my friend Cyndi and her two boys and had a lot of fun. Here we are in front of the sign.

Nora got a blow up pool for her birthday and we finally decided to test it out. She loved it. She did not know what to think at first, but once she got used to it, she did not want to get out! She is a little fish and loves the water!

Here is Nora in the big pool at my mom's house. She loves just sitting on the step and going in and out of the water. I think she is just adorable in her little suit and hat. She knows that when the hat comes out she gets to go in the pool and then becomes very impatient with me after she has seen the hat. Now I put lotion on, suit on and then take out the hat right before we go outside. Lesson learned!!

I just thought this was a cute pic of Jalen and Nora. Jalen came over and played one day and he just loves his baby to death! He really does play and do great with her for being 6 years old. They were chasing each other up and down the hallway. They have fun together. Nora is so lucky to have a great cousin!
