Nora's 7th Birthday Party

We had Nora's birthday party this past weekend. We had a little trouble deciding what to do and landed on having a petting zoo for her party! I am so lucky to have a gracious family because my mom hosted it since we just moved and had no fence to hook them too. It was awesome! I think I enjoyed it as much as the kiddos did. The lady brought a baby camel, llama, cow, donkey, goats, pig, chickens and rabbit. And then she pulled out a baby kangaroo! So much fun. The kids were able to pet, brush and feed the animals. It was worth every penny! Nora had her friends over and they were so generous in gift giving as well. It was a great day! I cannot believe she is going to be 7!

Recital

So the last three years the Clark Academy has had a recital. We participated in the first one and then were not able to last year. This year we were able to again and it was great because Stella is dancing too! The shamrock dancers participated a little more than they did in the first recital, which was awesome. They were just too cute! Stella was not having it at first and did not like that I had put the wig on her and wanted it off, but I did a little bribing and it worked. Once she was out there she was a rock star. Nora did great too and has come such a long way in three years of dancing. I am so proud of them both!

Grant's Farm

We visited Grant's Farm for the first time this year with Nora's school. They had rented it out for the night and only Long families were invited. We were able to see and feed the goats, ride the carousel, danced and saw friends. It was a really fun evening with our family. I have never been to Grant's Farm that early in the year and the goats are so small. Normally I don't like to go in there, but they were pretty calm.

Easter

We had a great Easter this year, even though our house was in disarray from packing and moving. Coloring eggs was funny this year because we had so many little hands. We still managed to color Easter eggs and have a great day!

We got up and hunted for eggs in the house and then headed to my mom's for brunch. We had a few egg hunts there and ate way too much candy and then headed to my Grandma's for the afternoon. We continued with more egg hunts and jumping rope and chalk and fun!

New House

Well we have officially been in the new house for four weeks! I can't believe it. It sure has been an adventure and one that I am glad we took. The time between getting it ready and under contract was a short 2 1/2 weeks! We were under contract the second day it went on the market and then the whirlwind began.
The day after we looked at 5 houses and found one that we liked and I am sure glad that we put in an offer because I have not come across anything better and we would have been homeless. From the time of under contract and move in was one month and we closed on both houses on the same day. Insane and I hope to not have to do that for a very long time. I am so thankful for all the awesome friends and family we have that helped us through this process, whether it was taking the girls, helping pack, supplying us with food, and/or moral support.
The night before the girls and I kissed our old house goodbye!

I felt like it was going to be forever for the moving day to come and go and to get everything situated, but it has already been 4 weeks since then and we finally have all our furniture. I just really can't believe that we have a new house! And a huge house at that. We went from 1050 sq ft to 2800 sq feet!! Unreal!
Here is our new house!
The girls have their own room, we have a huge room and our own bathroom. We have a nice guest room and a bonus room upstairs that is the play area. The main floor has an office with grown up office furniture and a dining room and the basement is Peter's place! We just love it!
