More Cakes

Katie and I took the girls to go look for some more cakes. Our first stop was the Sweet Devine down in Soulard. It is my favorite cupcake place! We then hit up a few more during our adventure!

Happy 250 St. Louis

St. Louis is 250 years old this year and in honor of that they have put 250 birthday cakes around St. Louis. We have seen a few and my hope is when the girls get back from Chicago we can start to add a few more to our picture collection! Here are the ones we have seen so far!

Crown Candy

Grandma and Aunt Karen came into to town to pick the girls up and take them back to Chicago for the week. While they were here we went and had some ice cream at the famous Crown Candy Kitchen. I wanted to take Debbie when she was in town taking care of me, but we ran out of time. They have the best sundae's ever! Nora had a chocolate shake and she was in heaven and already asked when we could go back. Stella had a banana ice cream cone and the rest of us had sundae's. Grandma and Aunt Karen agreed that it was delicious.

Stella vs Concrete

Stella, our little daredevil, finally needed to be glued back together. This past Friday we had nothing going on and decided to have the neighbors over to hang out and before we could even do that Stella flipped right out of the pool. She wanted one of the noodles and the one she wanted was outside of the pool. Nora got out to get it, but of course Stella wanted to do it herself and stood on the return in the pool and that gave her just enough umph to flip out and she split her head open on the concrete. Holy moly was there a lot of blood! Thank goodness Angie was right there to scoop her up (she is over my weight restriction still) and I ran and got Peter. Once she calmed down a bit she asked to go back into the pool! Ha, she is a funny kid. Peter, Stella and I headed down to Cardinal Glennon and they glued her back together. The doctors and nurses were awesome! We were there about two hours and our restrictions were to not submerge her in water and to keep her calm. Well if you know Stella at all keeping her down and calm is a challenge. She was running around when we got home like her Stella self. It has not slowed her down one bit and she is in Chicago with Grandma and Grandpa this week and she hasn't been phased at all. I wonder how many more times we will visit the ER in her lifetime!

4th of July

The 4th of July changed a bit this year last minute. We had started a new tradition last year and hope to continue it next year of having and celebrating the 4th up at Lazy Holler, but it didn't happen. I am kind of glad it didn't because I don't think I would have had the energy to camp for 4 days. I was still a bit sore, so we offered up our house for the annual Bromeier celebration. I think I still bit off more than I could chew and paid for it the next day, but it was a success. We had around 40 people at our house and played our annual washer's tournament. It is always so fun and has gotten pretty competitive in the last 7 or so years. There is even a trophy that made it's grand entrance last year at the event! This year Kurt regained his title and won with Kiki! It was absolutely hilarious. They beat my dad and Susie for the trophy. It was a great tournament. We had more food than we could eat and we even had some fireworks at the end of the night. Such a great time to spend with family!

My Birthday

I had a great time as usual for my birthday. I headed to Grant's Farm with my kiddos, Jalen, Dena and Bella. It was a beautiful day, very unusual temperatures for July 2 and we were there along with everyone else in St. Louis. We had a lot of fun and fed the goats and had lunch and fed camels and birds. Later that evening I met family and friends at one of my favorite places to eat, Fuzzy's Taco Shop. It was great to spend turning 34 with everyone who came! So very blessed!

June Fun

My kiddos have gotten so spoiled this summer with so many things to do and places to go. I can't even begin to thank all of our friends and family that have taken the girls while I recovered. My mom took them one afternoon and headed to the magic house along with Jalen. I just love that we bought the season pass! My mom doesn't get to do a lot of the fun stuff as she always is helping out at the house and/or babysitting them. Here are just a few pics from the magic house as well as some of the other fun things they have gotten to do!
