Pre-School Graduation

Nora graduated from Pre-school today. They had a nice little graduation ceremony and everything. A little silly in my eyes, but whatever. We didn't get to many pictures because Nora decided to be not so cooperative after the ceremony. Here are a few....

Grant's Farm birthday

We celebrated Nora's birthday with her friends today at Grant's Farm. It was so much fun and worth every penny of it. We had our own little pavilion and they provided a really cute and delicious cake and drinks for everyone. All the kiddos also got an elephant and GF cup to take home. As part of the deal all the kids got to feed the camel, goats and a carousel ride. I think the best part of the whole day was watching all of them feed the camels. It was pretty funny. The camel came right over to our side and ate right out of the hands of everyone. Nora and Stella LOVED it! The camel kept putting Stella's hand right in its mouth to get the food. Then we headed to feed the goats and they sure are aggressive. Nora was covered in sand because they kept jumping up on her. Thanks goodness for Aunt Boo because she went in with Stella and saved her from the goats. Then everyone rode the carousel. Nora did not want to have anything to do with it until she found one that didn't move and then she was okay. Again, thanks to Aunt Boo because she rode with both of the girls. It was so much fun and we stayed and had some lunch and headed home.
Later on we went to Happy Joe's Pizza with Grandma, Aunt Kiki, Uncle Zach, Daphne, Pappy and Great Gran because pizza is what the birthday girl wanted for her birthday dinner and I was not going to do that on Mother's Day ;)  Here are some pics from the day! Can't believe my baby is 5!!!!

Nora's Recital

Nora had her first dance recital on Saturday and it was great! It was the first time that she wore her school uniform and wig. Wow is the wig process a long one. I thought I had put a lot of bobby pins in her head, but i guess i didn't (more on that later). So we had her all dressed and headed the auditorium where the performance was. She had to be there super early because they were doing a complete run through of the show. My mom, Susie, Jalen, Katie, Daphne and friend Laura all came to the recital. Yes, Peter missed it because of a long standing tradition that was taking place on that day. And we didn't know about the recital until after he had already payed for the LSQ event. Anyway, the recital started at 5:30 and was just so fun! Nora came out four different times and after each time I just laughed. I just about cried the first time she came out. She looked so small on the stage with the big kids. I feel like she is so big most of the time and to see her on stage with other bigger kids made me realize what a little girl she still is! She cracked us up though. She really was doing her own thing and her poor wig that mom didn't bobby pin enough was falling off of her head by the end. I am going to attach a link to a short video that one of the mom's next to me took. I ordered the complete video but we will not have it for another couple of weeks. Anyway, here is the link and a picture of our little irish dancer before her recital.

And here is the link....

18 months

Stella K is 18 months old. She turned 18 months this past Saturday and we went to the doctor on Monday. I know I am a few days late with stats, but oh well. So Stella did great for the doctor and it was awesome for me because she didn't have to get any shots! Here are her stats....

25.8 lbs (85th%ile)
32.5" (70th%ile)

She previously weighed 22.4 lbs and was 31.5", so she has really grown in the last 3 months. Sometimes I just cannot believe she is this big already! She is starting to talk more, despite my worrying. I felt like she wasn't saying enough and the doctor said she is a tad behind, but she is not worried in the slightest. Just this last week she has started to mimic more. She says the following words...

up
hep (help)
mom
da
hi
bye
kitty
pls (please)
mo (more)
mi (milk)

She is so busy and still loves to climb on everything. She is so active! She really likes to be on the move and to be outside. I think it is going to be an interesting summer. We are going to get another little pool so I am thinking she will want to be in it every day. here are a few pictures from this morning that I took. Can't you just hear her laughing. She is just so big! I feel like in the 2nd pic she looks so much like a little girl and not my baby anymore.
