First Flight

So Nora took her first plane ride this past weekend. We went to visit Aunt Colleen, Uncle Scott, Allison and Danny in Omaha. I was a little nervous about flying but much to my surprise Nora did great!!! Would we expect anything less from the best baby in the whole world?! I think not. She did great on the flight there. We had a bottle while taking off and did the pacifier on the way down.

Once we got to Omaha Nora was loved immediately by Danny. He wanted to do everything for her and with her. He was sooo cute with her. Danny is three and fed and held and played with Nora for three days! He referred to her as his baby. Uncle Scott helped out and trimmed Nora's nails while we were there because I am still afraid to cut them. We had a lot of fun visiting and shopping. We were sad to go, but can't wait to come back!

2 month old Bathing Beauty

Nora is officially two months old today!!! I cannot believe it, the time is going by so fast. We visited the doctor this past Tuesday and she got her 2 month shots. She wailed, but survived. Mom didn't even cry! She officially weighs 11 lbs. 1 oz. and is 23 in. long. Our girl is growing! Nora got to meet even more family this week. Her cousins from Virginia came into town this week. She also went swimming for the first time! She loved it. We all had a great time visiting with everyone. Now we are just waiting for all of Nora's friends to come swim with her!

Chicago Roadtrip

Nora survived her first of many roadtrips to Chicago. She did wonderful in the car. On the way there we only had to stop once! We had a lot of fun while we were there. She got to wear the adorable outfit from her cousin Jamie! It said "First 4th of July" on it and it had matching shoes. On Sat. July 5th Nora got to meet her extended family from Chicago. Grandma and Grandpa had a BBQ so everyone could meet the newest edition! Nora got to meet so many new people and loved every minute of it. We had so much fun and Nora was so good. She is just a little social butterfly! On Sunday Nora had her first dining out experience at Lou Malnati's Pizzeria (one of mom's favorite places to eat). She did excellent. We can't wait to see most of you again at Christmas time!

The Many Faces of Nora

So Nora is now 7 weeks old and of course we had to take some pictures. She was really in to making faces today and here are some of her best shots! Over the weekend she stayed at Grandma's and slept for a whole 8 hours straight!!!! She slept for us 7 hours straight last night. Let's hope this is a pattern forming and not just a fluke! We are headed on our first road trip since Nora has been born this coming weekend. We will be meeting all of the Reids and Harrigans! Nora is very excited to be seeing Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Candace again. She is also excited to meet her Godfather, Uncle Tim. Wish us safe travels and I am sure we will have a story to post when we return!

6 weeks old and making new friends

Staley is now more interested in Nora. I think it has to do with the fact that she is moving and talking more. He really likes to sniff her and check her out when she is on the floor or laying on her activity gym. He loves to give her kisses. We were on the floor this morning for some tummy time and Staley decided he wanted some lovin' from me too. He plopped right down next to me and I took advantage of the situation and snapped some pics.

Nora is 6 weeks old today and getting so big! She is holding her head up more, even though she hates doing it during tummy time. She likes to hold it up and bobble around when mom is trying to burp her or when she is on someones shoulder. She has started to coo even more and smile! It is the best smile! I have not been able to capture this smile on camera yet. She so knows when mom has the camera and when she doesn't. She was all smiles this morning and as soon as I got the camera she stopped and then started again as soon as I put the camera back down. Go figure! I am sure I will get a pic of one soon enough. Her face is finally clearing up! Yeah for no more baby acne! My favorite pic right now is this one in her fish dress. That is our baby girl! Her cheeks are starting to fill out and she looks more like daddy! That is all for now!

Growing Girl

Nora had her 1 month Dr.'s appointment on Thursday. She is a growing girl! She now weighs 9 lbs 2 oz. and is 21.5 inches long! No wonder she doesn't fit into any of the newborn clothes anymore. She is doing great. She is eating 4 oz. every 4 hours during the day. She is sleeping great too. She gets a bottle around 10:00 pm and goes down for the night right after that and usually sleeps til sometime between 4:30-5:30!!! I know we are soooo lucky! She gets up, eats, gets changed and then goes back down for another 3-4 hours. Since that is pretty consistent mom just needs to get on a schedule.

We finally got our Birth DVD and it turned out great! I am so excited to show people. Don't worry, it has all clean pictures. It is the best christmas and birthday present ever! I have watched it like 20 times already, I just LOVE IT!!!!

Jalen came over on Friday and helped watch Nora, he is such a good helper and loves her so much! I just think this picture is just precious.

Little Friends

Mom worked for the first time since Nora has been born. Good friends Julia and Natalie came to the rescue and helped their moms watch Nora. Here are some pics from the day!
