Snow Day Part 2

Well the last two days we have been home from school because of the snowy weather. They called it early Wed. night and early as well last night. When we woke up Thursday morning there was nothing, but that didn't last too long. A bad storm hit and the weather was crazy. So glad that we were home. Unfortunately Nora got another bug and had a fever yesterday and is almost back to normal today. Needless to say the last day and a half have been interesting.
Yesterday the baking bug bit me and I made a chocolate chip pie, thanks to pinterest. It turned out delicious, but when I figured out the points/calories for it, it made me glad I only had one piece. We didn't do too much yesterday, but I got all of the laundry done and then we waited for Peter to get home. It took him 4 hours to get home!! He left at 3:00 pm and didn't walk in the door until 7:00 pm. The roads were horrible!
Today we woke up and got busy with the day. We are redoing our main bathroom. Painting, vanity, mirror, light, nothing too big, but we are going back up in April so we want to get it done so the new realtor can market the heck out of our house before it hits the market. High hopes this time around!!! Anyway, I emptied the vanity, sanded the walls, and painted. We also headed out to Pappy's to sled. Nora stayed with my mom since she wasn't 100% and she doesn't like sledding anyway. She says it is scary. So off we went! Stella loved it! They are both sleeping right now and I am enjoying the quiet. I am sure it won't last long.

Happy V-day

We had a great Valentine's Day! Nora was very excited about Valentine's Day this year. We did her valentines for school this past weekend. We got them from Michaels so she could put them together, they were pretty cute.
We woke up a little early and went and surprised my mom with a homemade valentine and flowers. We then headed to school and Nora had her party. I made her hair into little hearts (inspired by pinterest), but of course they didn't last long. I was very surprised at work when flowers showed up for me! I was speechless and that is saying a lot! Nora had a great time at her party and was very hyped up on sugar when we got home. All she kept saying was mom, mom, mom look, mom. OMG! She was so wound up that she posed and posed some more while I took her picture! Hope everyone had a great Valentines Day!

I love when Nora yells out, "Oh Stella K...."

I love when Stella tells me something and I have no idea what she said.

I love when Stella grabs my hand and puts it on her back to rub it.

I love when does something new and she gets the oh so proud look on her face.

I love my girls to pieces. I am amazed everyday at the amount of love my heart can hold. I am so blessed to have these girls in my life. And there are days when I still can't believe I am a mom. Love is an awesome thing!

Snow 2013

This was the first real snow of the season!!!! And the first time that Stella has experienced the snow. We had to make shift some snow pants for her because we didn't have any her size. Poor girl wore Nora's from last year, but that didn't stop her! Nora lasted about 10 min and Stella did not want to go inside. We were out for at least 30 min. I guess she is our little snow angel! She loved going down the slide into the snow! Too bad we don't have a snow day or I would take her sledding. I think she would love it.
